New Delhi: Jaguar Land Rover India on Monday launched the Jaguar XJ50, a special edition model starting at Rs Rs 1.11 crore.
The launch has been timed to celebrate half a century of trademark performance, technology and luxury in the country, JLR said.
“For five decades, the Jaguar XJ globally has been the choice of business leaders, celebrities, politicians and royalty, the XJ50 is a fitting tribute to the enduring style and performance of Jaguar’s luxury saloon,” the company said in a statement.
Available in long wheelbase with a 3.0 l, 225 kW diesel powertrain, the exterior updates for the XJ50 include Autobiography-style front and rear bumpers. These mark the anniversary edition out alongside purposeful new 48.2 cm (19) wheels, chrome radiator grille with chrome surround and unique badging to the rear and side vents, while the striking colour palette includes Fuji White, Santorini Black, Loire Blue and Rosello Red.
In the interior, the luxurious vehicle features soft-grain diamond-quilted seats with an embossed leaper on the headrests and an XJ50 logo on the centre armrest. Unique intaglio branding and XJ50-badged illuminated treadplates also differentiate the anniversary edition, alongside anodised gearshift paddles and bright metal pedals.
“The Jaguar XJ has always been the epitome of Jaguar’s focus on luxury and excellence. With the XJ50, we have raised the bar once again, paying homage to one of the world’s most stylish sporting saloons, Rohit Suri, President & Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL), said.
The Jaguar range in India includes XE, XF, F-PACE, XJ and F-TYPE starting at Rs 39.73 lakh and goes up to Rs 1.02 crore.
