Audi New Q3 is not launched in India yet. Information on this page is tentative.
Audi is known to be currently working on an all-new generation of its Q3; an SUV that shows off its good build quality and luxurious interiors. However, the current model has been around for some time now, and the competition has moved ahead. The next generation Audi Q3 is expected to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2017 before hitting markets globally in 2018.
Audi’s next-gen Q3 will be underpinned by the MQB platform which makes the car slightly bigger but lighter than the existing model. Edgier design lines are anticipated, along with a revamped nose and rear section which keeps in mind the brand’s current design language. Expect sharper headlamps and tail lamps along with the fresher looking octagonal grille outlined in chrome.
Though there’s little to confirm the details, expect the Q3 to boast of luxurious interiors coupled with a long list of comfort and safety features. The dashboard and cabin will be redesigned and draped with better appointed materials. Expect overall fit and finish to be able to lure buyers to this upgraded SUV.
The next Q3 could soldier-on with a retuned version of the current 2.0-litre diesel motor to keep costs low. This motor will be mated to a seven-speed auto gearbox with the option of a six-speed manual. Despite the increase in footprint, this SUV will be lighter (due to the MQB platform), so expect the 17kmpl claimed fuel efficiency figure of the current car to remain the same.
Prices for the next-generation Audi Q3 is predicted to range from Rs 32 lakh to Rs 43 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) depending on the trim. When the car is launched in the first quarter of 2018, it will take on the likes of the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz’ GLA.
