Narayan Sai admits to having physical relationships with 8 female disciples
Self-styled godman Asaram’s son Narayan Sai, accused in a rape case has confessed to Gujarat police officials of having relation with eight women and also having physical relation with the Surat girl, who has accused him of raping her.
Reports suggest that Sai has denied the rape allegations and told the officials he had consensual sex with the Surat based girl.
“During our intense questioning, Sai has more or less accepted the rape allegations levelled against him by one of the two (Surat-based) sisters,” Surat Commissioner of Police Rakesh Asthana told mediapersons.
Sai has also revealed to police during interrogation that he had physical relationships with eight of his female disciples, he said.
“It has also come to light that he fathered a child with one of his sevikas (disciple),” Asthana said.
Sai, whose police custody ends today has been accused of sexually assaulting a city-based woman at his ashram from the year 2002-05.
The potency test conducted on 40-year-old Sai have shown positive results.
Sai was arrested last week in Haryana along with his driver Ramesh Malhotra and PSO Kaushal Thakur alias Hanuman and brought to Delhi for identification and was questioned by Crime Branch officials of the Surat Police.
He was absconding from the past 58 days after two sisters from Surat filed rape complaints against his father and him.
